About Eldon Forge and Foundry

When Eldon Forge and Foundry was first conceived John Ducker’s hope was to have it become a full-time endeavour. Well after 9 years ~ it has. I started on my Blacksmithing path as a Found Metal Artist. Eldon Forge and Foundry was started with found metal art. I started with wind chimes out of old silver-plate and garden obelisks. I still make the wind chimes as well as many other found metal garden pieces as well as pieces for inside your home.

At a recent O.A.B.A. gathering (Ontario Artist Blacksmith Association) at Upper Canada Village the guest presenters were John & Nancy Little. Two very talented smiths from Nova Scotia.  After seeing their work and sitting in on the presentation I started thinking and came to a realization.   I am proud of my work and accomplishments, someone once said “Be bold, be daring, be fearless in your art”. The one thing that was missed from that statement was, Be proud!!
