About Dirty Leather Work

My name is Josh and I’m the owner/artist behind Dirty Leather. Every stitch, snap and rivet are set with my hands, no machining whatsoever, truly making my goods handmade. Starting Dirty Leather from behind the bar I have brought my love for beer, wine and spirits with me into the artisan world and it is evident in the niche I’ve carved out for myself. One could say I’m the leather worker for the beverage enthusiast.

All of my products are made with my hands and of my design with my unique flair. The core of my business is the Dirty Leather Belt! A single strap of quality leather cut from select areas of the hide and worked into one of the best belts around (Yes, I’m not unbiased). Next up would be my Infamous Beer Holsters, something I thought would be a laugh but really helped set me apart from the pack. Another product that has helped stand out would be my Mason Mugs, these are always head turners at my booth and really help draw in the crowd. Another attention grabber is my 4 pack caddies, bicycle compatible (most go on strollers). I also carry a full range of the expect to see leather artisan’s goods Wallets, Guitar Straps, Dog Collars/leashes, keychains, coasters and doodads. All though with my unique Flair. Disclaimer*** As all items are handmade, they may not always be in stock. I am only one person. Pricing ranges from $3/$80 with the occasional show piece heading north of that but always something for everyone.

I’m pretty picky when it comes to the leather I use. First the tannery must be an established one with a reputation for quality and integrity. Then I hand pick each side to ensure it will best suit my intended purpose for it. I then begin to break down the hide and turn it into the products I sell. From start to finish everything is done with my two hands with no machining whatsoever. My finishing routines help ensure the longevity of my products as I’m not one for quick fashion. I take a lot of pride when making my wares and I believe it shows in the end result.
