Tigerlily Glass began nearly 15 years ago as a simple jewellery making hobby. With a desire to create my own beads for the jewellery pieces I made, I began researching flame work which lead me to discover fused glass and my passion for it. I love the versatility of glass and the entire spectrum of colours I get to play with. Over the last decade, my art has grown and evolved as my knowledge and experiences have also grown. My original focus was on making beautiful but functional pieces of glassware in the form of plates and bowls. While functional pieces are still a big part of my focus, decorative glass art is now something I have a ton of fun creating. This includes items as small as window suncatchers to larger wall hanging pieces. I believe everyone should have something beautiful in their life that puts a smile on their face when they look at it so I try to always have a full range of price points in order to make sure there is something for everyone. Fused glass is achieved by layering multiple levels on glass then heating them to high temperatures in the kiln. By adjusting the kiln temperature, I can manipulate the effect on the glass. I am completely self-taught and continually working to improve current techniques while also learning new ones. I look forward to meeting you all this year and hope you are all successful in your personal endeavors.
